Starbucks furthers commitment to Central America with store opening in Guatemala

This week I thought it would be interesting to find an article on Starbucks. Starbucks is well known for doing business internationally. Being an employee, I believe that their mission and cultural behaviors can be seen within their actions. This article is about the commitment that Starbucks has in helping out the communities in which they are apart of. To me this is a good example of what global businesses should be doing. What do you think?

  1. Starbucks is what seems to me just a geniuine good company. It is great to see the continued expansion into other countries. My current event article was about the start-up of the CEO of the company Howard Schultz. Starbucks was not always basking in financial succeess they have had rough patches but Schultz is commited to have a company that is socially conscience. He is also committed to the philosophy that the expirence in A Starbucks coffee house is just as important as the coffee. below is a link on the future of Starbucks and how theor new instant coffee line is a big hit. One would think that in these economic challanging times Starbucks would be suffering but they prove that social consciencness, diversity , innovation and commitment can and will lead to financial sucess.
